About me

I am a full time musician, songwriter and recording studio owner. Here something you can know about me:

Opened my recording studio in 2010
Played around 800 live gigs
Released 15 studio albums as a songwriter, 6 were released on European labels on vinyls
Played 126 concerts in 2017 (10 countries)
As a sound engineer mixed and mastered almost 1000 songs
I wrote arrangements, songs, session instruments, jingles and soundtracks for the customers from many countries in Europe and USA.
My songs were broadcasted on Ukrainian and foreign radio and TV stations (EU, USA, Australia)
I wrote and performed a song with the orchestra twice in National Philharmonic
My bands The Heavy Crawls and Max Tovstyi's Band opened or played with many famous musicians in Ukraine and Europe.
I founded a Jimi Hendrix tribute band and we're really good! Also we play any sort of blues and rock music.
I was expelled from musical school when I was a kid as I wanted to play rock'n'roll

How I help my clients

The most common problems faced by my clients

You realize that songwriting is a baffling process and you need some help. You are stuck with your song and none of your friends like it.

You are out of ideas and need a professional opinion. You want some other instruments but know nothing about music theory and the basics of harmony.

You don't have time to put up a band and tell them what to do, especially when the musicians are your friends and are amateurs. Now me and the best musicians from Ukraine will record your song!

You struggle with mixing and can't master a song so it fits those complicated modern requirements so you do need an experienced sound producer/engineer.

How I work

Personal consultation

Tell me which are your goals and I will tell you how can I help you. Show me your music and we will find a way to help you without busting your budget. I am providing the best combination of price and quality.

Payments

I prefer to be paid beforehand but if you have any doubts I can start working before you pay to build the trust between us. You can check on my reviews in Facebook and Google maps. I want you to be happy and hire me again and again. I accept PayPal or Swift or cash. To send me your files I recommend using WeTransfer or Google Drive or Dropbox.

Working on your music

I love to work fast and I hate delays. As soon as we make a deal I am working on your order. Usually my clients don't have to wait for long. I will inform you about the dates if I am busy or booked by someone else. Also, don't worry, you can ask me to make changes twice (!) without extra payments. The more you tell me the better! Here is the example of a perfect client: "Hey Max, so here's my song, I need some funky bass, I want guitars like it's Jimmy Page, drums like it's a Ringo Star and some background keyboards too, also please add some acoustic guitar playing chords." After I am done with the music my client has to record vocals (at some local recording studio or even at home) and send back the vocals.wav file to me. The next day or two you will get your song done and you are ready to be a rock star!

All services are flexible and can be combined or modified according to your preference

Song mixing / mastering

$50 - 100

I will remix your song using both digital and analogue gear, and master it in the end so it sounds rich and loud.
You can ask for changes twice without extra payments.
The price depends on the amount of tracks, song length etc.

Session musician

$50 - 200

I can record for you a smoking hard rock guitar solo, gentle acoustic guitar, strings (violin, cello, viola) that will bring tears to your eyes, funky bass, pop piano, groovy drums or moody organ. The price starts at just $50.

Arrangement / Co-Writing

$300

Creative arrangements, recording additional instruments, making your song more professional and many more! Starting at $300 (and it could go lower if you have many songs) you can have a song that will rock the radio stations, make your crush fall in love with you or get you a label deal!

Songwriting

500$

Have you ever wanted to write a song but you only write lyrics and need original music? Or maybe your brand needs an original song? Music for a movie or advertisement? I can write a completely unique song/jingle that will be just for you (not from a stock or already used) and you will own it! Prices start at 500$
